While reading a digg post on the proposed amendments for the Copyright law I came upon some of the funniest comments I have seen for in a while...

"My congressperson is just involved in other important work such as:

H.CON.RES.142 : Congratulating Disneyland and the Walt Disney Company on the 50th Anniversary of the opening of Disneyland.
H.RES.498 : Supporting the goals and ideals of School Bus Safety Week.
H.R.935 : To urge the Government of Ethiopia to hold orderly, peaceful, and free and fair national elections in May 2005 and to authorize United States assistance for elections-related activities to monitor the Ethiopian national elections.
H.R.551 : To amend the Elementary and Secondary Education Act of 1965 to direct local educational agencies to release secondary school student information to military recruiters if the student's parent provides written consent for the release, and for other purposes. (aka bill against on campus recruiting)

and my personal favorite:
H.R.1914 : To amend the Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the United States to provide that the calculation of the duty imposed on imported cherries that are provisionally preserved does not include the weight of the preservative materials of the cherries. "

found a very interested article on the values of real state and stocks.. now some guys I know have been increasingly thinking about investing in real state.. before doing so, it would be good to have a read at this NY Times article to at least consider all the factors involved...

It is indeed amazing how people get worried about some things. In this case all the talk about the GTA secret scenes. I mean, its not as if someone with a PC already cannot get any kind of content by just downloading it, accessing a webpage, etc without need of any special crack for the game. Its not as the web is really "mature coded" so what is the big deal with a couple of pixels? Tom wrote an excellent post on the topic.

Apparently someone at Nike realized running without shoes was better than running with shoes. Interestingly enough they are of course now trying to emulate the experience of running without shoes while wearing shoes.

Now what someone should really think about is on how to create a backpack which doesnt feel like carrying a backpack!

Just read something on Jason Fried's blog on a topic which has been bothering me a lot lately:

"However, we were tossing this idea around the table: Why not read an email and then instantly delete it? Why do we save emails? Why do we archive them in folders for safe keeping? We don’t save phone calls. We have a conversation on the phone and then we hang up. If we need to take notes for whatever reason we do, but 99% of phone calls are completely ephemeral. And if we forget something, or we need it again, we just make another call...." it continues on here.

Lately I have been using gmail for my personal email, which has been working great. Just an "archive" click and the things get out of the way, only to come back later when necessary in the "conversation" mode.

Now that is one thing I lack on Outlook, besides the search functionalities are crap so I installed the Yahoo search engine which at least lets you find things often. Nevertheless I usually find myself at a loss with the amount of work needed to archive things in my "inbox" and with inboxes with 50, 100 or more read messages sitting there.

I think I should better start trying the magic of the "delete" key.

Went out for a walk of night photography.. i was not used already to the summer time and ended up heading to the city center around 7.30pm... had to wait until 10 to get anything interesting, just walking around randomly.

Apparently on some Fridays of the month a kind of tango club takes place on the backyard of the Residenz palace, I love how this picture came out

Sorting laundry

A long day of real work today.. had to catch up with laundry. Of course with the automated wash and drying machines theses days it is not such a big deal, except for one thing: sorting socks after they are ready. What a shore!

So from now on I have a new resolution: Only buy socks of one type per color in the future... that way I will not need to sort them out anymore!

Ahh the first post!

Ok.. so after a couple of weeks of thinking things up I decided setting this one up. And a nice feeling it is, watching it come up in screen live. I though it was going to be more complicated, but it turned up to be remarkably easy to setup. Lets hope it stays at easy to mantain!

So what goes inside? Well as the name implies, basically many many things. My main purpose was to create this one to communicate with the many friends and family scattered around the world. With todays time constraints, it is harder keeping up in touch with as much people as you would like. A picture now and then, something that caught up my attention on the news or some update on one of the many travels I get into for work of pleasure... all gets in here..
